Seal's body will be placed at the party office in central Kolkata, allowing his colleagues, supporters, and well-wishers to pay their final respects, a senior leader disclosed to PTI.
In a career marked by notable achievements, Seal was a five-time councillor in the Kolkata Municipal Corporation and served as a mayoral council member. He won the Jorabagan Assembly seat in 2001 and claimed victory over Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections.
