Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP from Raebareli, is set to embark on a vital two-day visit beginning May 19, according to party officials. His plans signal a strategic move to galvanize support at the grassroots level ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
On the first day, Gandhi will inaugurate a marriage hall in Thakurain Kheda, Bachhrawan, before addressing a public gathering in Khiron and participating in a 'mahila samvaad' program in Lalganj. The following day, he will conduct a 'Janata Darshan' at Bhuyemau Guest House, unveil a statue of Veera Pasi, and attend a public meeting in Lodhwari.
In Amethi, Gandhi aims to meet with local Congress leaders and workers to discuss strengthening the party's organizational structure. The focus is believed to be on increasing the participation of youth and women and enhancing the party's outreach in villages. Preparations are in full swing as Gandhi's visit stirs political activity in the region.
