Samajwadi Party MP Voices Concerns Over UP Cabinet Decisions Amidst New Appointments

Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament Awadhesh Prasad has voiced strong criticism of the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet meeting, alleging a disconnect between the government's decisions and the needs of the common citizens. In particular, he expressed concerns about the plight of farmers, stating, "Farmers are destroyed. They provide food for us, but what is happening to them?"

During the Cabinet meeting, the formation of a Dedicated Backwards Classes Commission was among the 12 proposals approved. On a related issue, Prasad commented on the NEET-UG paper leak, emphasizing the government's responsibility to prevent such occurrences and warned of potential political fallout.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak highlighted the meeting's focus on state development, discussing close to 20 proposals. He also addressed recent protests by lawyers regarding alleged illegal chamber demolitions, announcing a high-level investigation. Additionally, the Cabinet reshuffle saw Bhupendra Chaudhary and Manoj Kumar Pandey appointed to key ministerial roles as part of efforts to strengthen governance ahead of the 2027 elections.
