A New Chapter in Kerala's Leadership
Pinarayi Vijayan, CPI(M) veteran and former Kerala Chief Minister, congratulated V D Satheesan on his swearing-in as the state's 13th Chief Minister. Pinarayi Vijayan, a veteran leader from the CPI(M) and former Chief Minister of Kerala, extended his congratulations to V D Satheesan, who was sworn in as Kerala's 13th Chief Minister on Monday.
Vijayan expressed his hope that the new United Democratic Front (UDF) government would carry forward the welfare initiatives established by previous administrations. He also offered his constructive support to all welfare schemes and activities undertaken by the new leadership.
The seasoned Marxist politician attended the swearing-in ceremony. Satheesan, for his part, paid a personal visit to Vijayan after being chosen as Chief Minister by the Congress and extended an invitation. Expectations are that Vijayan will assume the role of Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly.
