Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday paid tribute to former MLA and prominent Jharkhand Movement leader Durga Soren on his death anniversary.
The CM visited the Durga Soren Memorial located at Namkum, where he garlanded his statue, and recalled his contributions.
''The thoughts and ideals of late Durga Soren will continue to inspire all of us forever. He dedicated his entire life to the struggle for a separate Jharkhand state and for the rights of the marginalised and deprived sections,'' the CM said.
''We all take pride in committed and dynamic young leaders like our elder brother, late Durga Soren. On his death anniversary, we offer him countless salutations and profound respect!'' he said.
