The Jharkhand government has effected a bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring, appointing and giving additional charge to 36 IAS officers, according to an official notification.

New deputy commissioners (DCs) have been appointed in three districts, while 12 IAS officers awaiting posting have been assigned responsibilities, it said.

The notification said that 2014-batch IAS officer Pashupatinath Mishra, who was serving as deputy development commissioner of Garhwa, has been appointed as its new DC.

Javed Hussain, a 2019-batch officer, has been appointed Khunti DC, while incumbent Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania was made DC of Deoghar.

Chhavi Ranjan has been appointed as director of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, while Zeeshan Kamar was made special secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, the notification said.

Sunil Kumar Singh, a 2013-batch officer, has been given the responsibility of special secretary in the Information Technology Department. Bhor Singh Yadav has been removed from the Agriculture Department and appointed as additional secretary of the Forest and Environment Department.

Ananya Mittal, a 2015-batch officer, was also removed from the post of deputy commissioner of Garhwa, and reassigned as the managing director of the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS).

Naman Priyesh Lakra has been appointed Director of Tourism, while Satyendra Kumar was made the additional secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, the notification added.
