Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Monday launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, comparing him to a child who tries to break a toy after failing to get it.
In a post on social media platform X, Maurya said the Congress should accept without hesitation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi represents the hopes and trust of the people and there is no alternative to him.
''The Congress should not hesitate in accepting that the other name for the hopes and trust of the people is the successful Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. There is no alternative to him,'' Maurya wrote.
Targeting Gandhi, the deputy chief minister alleged that after failing to win the confidence of the people for the past 12 years, the Congress leader was attempting to push the country towards anarchy through what he termed a ''foreign toolkit gang''.
Maurya further wrote, ''In fact, Rahul Gandhi's condition today is like that of a child who, after not getting a toy, tries to break it.''
