Tragedy Strikes Gaza: Airstrike Claims Lives Amid Tense Ceasefire
A Palestinian woman and a young girl were killed during an Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza, according to hospital authorities. The strike targeted a tent sheltering a displaced family. The conflict persists despite an October ceasefire, with frequent Israeli fire and retaliatory militant attacks leading to ongoing casualties.
A recent Israeli airstrike in southern Gaza resulted in the death of a Palestinian woman and a young girl, hospital sources confirmed. The attack struck a tent in Muwasi that was sheltering a displaced family, leaving another girl injured, according to the Kuwait field hospital.
The Israeli military stated that they targeted a militant but refrained from providing additional details. This incident marks the latest casualties in the region since a ceasefire was agreed upon in October, aimed at ending the conflict between Israel and the militant group Hamas in Gaza.
Despite efforts to maintain peace, sporadic violence prevails, with over 880 Palestinians reported killed by Israeli actions, as per Gaza's Health Ministry. Militants have also retaliated with attacks, rendering the two-year war far from resolved.
