Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, a prominent MP from the Trinamool Congress, has vacated all her organizational responsibilities following the party's significant election defeat. Her resignation highlights unresolved tensions within the TMC, as internal divisions and allegations of corruption continue to surface.

In her resignation letter to TMC state president Subrata Bakshi, Dastidar expressed deep dissatisfaction with the party's current state, pointing to scandals such as the ration scam and recruitment issues. She also criticized the growing influence of I-PAC on the party's workings, reflecting broader concerns about external influences overshadowing TMC's original ethos.

Dastidar's move is not only rooted in political strategy but also in personal grievance, notably against the new assignments given to Kalyan Banerjee, a fellow TMC MP. Her recent exclusion as the party's chief whip preceded a social media post expressing her discontent, signaling lingering internal disputes.

Despite stepping away from organizational duties, Dastidar remains an active MP, suggesting her decision to resign communicates more than a withdrawal—it signals unresolved challenges within TMC's ranks as they come to grips with leadership changes and strategic realignments amidst BJP's ascent in the region.
