Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has decided to resign from his position. During a breakfast gathering with his cabinet members, he announced his intention to step down. Subsequently, he plans to submit his resignation at Lok Bhavan.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil revealed that Siddaramaiah clarified his future plans, including passing leadership to his deputy, D K Shivakumar, as directed by the Congress party's top brass. Although the Governor is out of town, preparations for the leadership change are already underway.
