Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to visit Odisha next month for the celebrations marking the second anniversary of the BJP government's rule in the state. This news was confirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi during his speech at an ABVP event in Bhubaneswar.
Majhi mentioned his recent meeting with Modi in New Delhi, where he extended a personal invitation for the occasion. While the Prime Minister's Office has reacted favorably to the prospect of a visit, the exact date for this event remains undecided with June 12, June 20, and September 17 being considered.
The BJP government assumed power in Odisha after their victory over the previous BJD government, led by Naveen Patnaik, ending a 24-year-long dominance. Preparations are underway to welcome Modi, albeit without a confirmed schedule as of now.
