In an impressive display of civic participation, women voters took the lead in the final phase of the panchayat elections in Himachal Pradesh. Across ten districts, they outnumbered male voters, resulting in a turnout exceeding 76% even as rain and storms persisted.

Union Minister JP Nadda, after voting in his hometown, emphasized the importance of grassroots involvement in democracy, noting the significance of these elections in shaping local governance. Sirmaur district recorded the highest participation at 81.34%, evidencing the enthusiasm despite adverse weather conditions, while officials anticipate a further increase in turnout.
