Ukraine Targets Russian Supply Lines, Fuel Shortages Hit Crimea
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that Ukraine's military has the capability to strike Russian logistics across occupied territories, causing fuel shortages in Crimea and other regions. Ukrainian forces have increased attacks on strategic targets, including oil refineries, to disrupt Russia's supplies, leading to gasoline rationing in Crimea.
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy declared on Monday that Ukraine's military has achieved the capability to strike Russian logistics throughout the occupied areas, a development creating significant fuel shortages in Crimea and other regions under Russian control.
According to Zelenskiy's nightly video address, Ukrainian forces can now target Russian military logistics across virtually all the occupied territories, rendering many routes unsafe for the occupiers in the south and east.
In recent months, Ukraine has intensified attacks on medium and long-range targets, particularly focusing on Russia's oil industry. From January to May, Ukrainian forces successfully targeted 15 Russian oil refineries, proving disruptive to Russia's supply lines and leading to gasoline rationing in Crimea after recent drone attacks.
