In a sharp critique, the Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Sunil Sharma, lambasted Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for what he called a pseudo floor test disguised as a National Conference (NC) legislators' meeting in Srinagar. Speaking at a press gathering, Sharma accused Abdullah of fearing dwindling intra-party support.
Sharma went further, attributing Abdullah's actions to what he termed a permanent paranoia of his government's potential collapse. Referring to an outing in Dachigam as a superficial political maneuver, he mocked the Chief Minister for prioritizing leisure activities over the pressing deficiency of basic amenities confronting the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
The comments arose following Omar Abdullah's retreat to Dachigam with NC legislators, purportedly to evaluate the party's governance over the last 19 months. Abdullah defended the off-site meeting plans, emphasizing logistical preparations had been set days prior, countering allegations of spontaneous venue changes.
