Real estate giant Omaxe Ltd has announced its ambitious plans to invest more than Rs 1,000 crore in constructing a new township in Amritsar, Punjab, under its expansive growth strategy.

In a recent regulatory filing, the company disclosed the launch of its integrated township project named 'New Amritsar.' A total of 260 acres of land has been acquired for the development, with the initial phase spanning 127 acres backed by a significant investment of over Rs 1,000 crore, funded through the firm's internal accruals. The project includes residential plots of varying sizes and has secured RERA registration, along with necessary approvals.

The first phase of the development is projected to conclude within four years. Omaxe, a prominent real estate developer with a substantial presence in six Punjabi cities, continues its legacy of over 38 years, having delivered over 135 million square feet across North and Central India.
