A devastating accident claimed the lives of five family members on Wednesday morning when their car overturned and caught fire near the Chandauk crossing on the Jahangirabad–Bulandshahr road. The unfortunate incident left only a teenage girl, 15-year-old Gulnaz, with critical injuries.
Tanveer Ahmad, who runs a furniture business in Delhi, received the heart-wrenching call with the unbearable news. The charred victims were his son Tanveez Ahmad, daughter-in-law Nida, daughter Momina, son-in-law Zuber Ali, and grandson Zainul. The family was returning to Delhi from a wedding in Badaun.
The accident reportedly occurred after the car struck a culvert, flipping over before bursting into flames. Police suspect the driver, either Tanveez or Zuber, dozed off, a common occurrence in early morning accidents. Despite advice against early travel, urgency led to a fatal decision.
