In the aftermath of a devastating plane crash, the neighborhood of Meghaninagar, located near Ahmedabad airport, remains shrouded in fear. This new reality emerged after an Air India flight en route to London suffered a rapid descent, crashing into a medical hostel on June 12. Some locals contemplate relocating to safer areas, fearing a devaluation in property prices and reduced rental prospects for homes under direct flight paths such as Meghaninagar and Asarwa.

Communities like Laxminagar, Omkarnagar, and Saraswatinagar, which already struggle with basic infrastructure issues, are further burdened by the air disaster. Residents express their plight over poor road conditions and waterlogging, compounded now by the anxiety of potential future crashes. Even as the region endures this trauma, the overarching sound of aircraft continues to evoke memories of the tragedy.
