Heavy rainfall has also increased the Gangapur dam's water levels, which is critical for Nashik city. Subsequently, the Godavari River, a vital waterway in the district, has seen a significant rise, officials confirmed.
Citizens in low-lying areas are advised to relocate valuables and stay alert, as additional water releases from other dams are planned. Many temples along the riverbanks are already submerged due to the swelling waters.
