Britain's minister for science, research, and innovation has underscored the strategic importance of enhancing the UK's scientific partnerships with India, a nation gaining prominence in the science and technology domain.
At the India Global Forum's Future Frontiers Forum in London, Lord Patrick Vallance highlighted the necessity of skilled professional mobility via the Global Talent Visa to harness complementary skills between the two countries.
Vallance also revealed the impending launch of the UK government's Industrial Strategy, which is set to define key areas for UK-India partnerships. The forum also saw Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal praise the Free Trade Agreement's role in showcasing the robust bilateral relationship that supports science and technology innovation. Highlighted at the event were startups like Zypp Electric, which won the Clean Tech Award.
