In a tragic incident in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, one laborer lost his life and another was critically injured after being electrocuted during a streetlight installation project, police reported on Sunday.
The accident occurred on Saturday evening near a school on Bankhandi Road. The fatal mishap occurred when a hydraulic machine, used by workers employed by a private contractor for the local municipal corporation, lost balance and made contact with an overhead electric wire.
In the fallout, Dharmendra Gurjar, aged 30, succumbed to his injuries at the Morena district hospital, while Baldaau Soni was transferred to a Gwalior medical facility for further treatment, where his condition remains critical. An investigation is underway, with authorities pledging to hold those accountable for the incident responsible.
