Officials in Odisha launched extensive rescue operations as water from Jharkhand's Chandil Dam inundated the area. Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi condemned the dam authorities for their alleged negligence, labeling it a 'criminal misconduct.' Efforts to alleviate the situation involved deploying multiple rescue teams, including ODRAF and NDRF.
