Tragedy Strikes as Roof Collapse Claims Couple's Lives in Jharkhand

A couple perished in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district after the roof of their room collapsed, an official reported Monday. The tragic incident occurred late Sunday night in Rasoidhamna village while Hadis Ansari, 52, and Zamira Khatun, 48, were asleep.

Barhi's Sub-Divisional Officer, Johan Tudu, said the couple died instantly as other household members, fortunately in separate rooms, were unharmed. Their bodies were taken to Barhi Sub Division Hospital for postmortem analysis.

Tudu mentioned that, as per government protocols, relief will be extended to the bereaved family. Efforts are underway to clear the debris, and a survey has been initiated to assess other aging structures in the area to prevent further tragedies.
