In a tragic incident early Monday, three individuals lost their lives, and eleven others were injured following a collision between a lorry and a mini truck in Annamayya district. The collision, detailed by a police official, occurred as a group of 14 was traveling back from Tirumala to Bagepalli in Karnataka.
The devastation unfolded when a container truck, driving in the wrong direction, collided head-on with the mini truck on the Kadiri-Madanapalle highway, around 6:15 am, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahender.
Eyewitness reports indicated that two lorries were present at the accident site, notorious for its dangerous curve. Despite clear warning signs, accidents frequently occur due to the treacherous road conditions, highlighting ongoing challenges in road safety management. Police have initiated the process of filing a case.
