Monsoon Showers to Intensify Across Eastern Rajasthan

The rainfall in eastern Rajasthan is set to increase substantially from July 1, following the formation of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal, according to the local meteorological office on Monday. This system is expected to move toward Jharkhand, enhancing monsoon activity in the region.
Jaipur Met office director Radheyshyam Sharma announced the likelihood of more intense rain in eastern Rajasthan for the upcoming week, with the system extending its effects to parts of western Rajasthan by July 2.
Despite the forecast, no significant rainfall was recorded in major cities on Monday, with Sriganganagar registering the highest temperature at 40.3 degrees Celsius. However, areas like Churu experienced heavy rain, recording 85.1 mm over a 24-hour period.
