In a notable botanical advancement, officials from the Seppa Forest Division have unveiled a new plant species known as Begonia nyishiorum in Arunachal Pradesh's high-altitude East Kameng forests.
This discovery, now featured in the reputable journal Novon: A Journal for Botanical Nomenclature, is dedicated to the Nyishi tribe, honored through its name. The plant, with its distinct crimson-fringed petioles, adds to the unique flora of Asia.
