The Shimla administration announced an investigation into the recent collapse of a five-storey building on the city's outskirts, which will also review a nearby road construction project.
A panel headed by an additional district magistrate will examine the causes and submit a report, according to Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap.
Further actions will be based on findings amidst tension between local officials and the NHAI, following allegations against a state minister for assaulting NHAI officials after the building's collapse.
