Tragedy Strikes: Three Lives Lost in Uttar Pradesh Electrical Mishap

In a harrowing incident in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, three individuals lost their lives due to electrocution. Among the deceased were two brothers and their friend. The tragedy occurred when a high-tension line malfunctioned amid rains, according to police reports.
Police officer Santosh Kumar Mishra noted that water from rain carried electric current through barbed wire fences, energizing them dangerously. The victims were attempting to plough a field when 17-year-old Shivam was electrocuted. In a desperate attempt to save him, his elder brother, Satya Narayan (19), and friend, Ravi Pandey (22), also succumbed to the current.
A post-mortem is underway, and Yadunath Yatharth, Chief Electrical Engineer, stated an inquiry is in progress. The investigation aims to identify any departmental negligence, with assurances of accountability if lapses are detected.
