Delhi has experienced an unusual amount of rainfall this July, exceeding the month's average. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that so far, 220.2 mm of rainfall has been recorded, surpassing the natural benchmark of 209.7 mm typically seen.

Since the arrival of the monsoon in late June, Delhi has accumulated 322.2 mm of rain, notably higher than the average of 270.1 mm for the season. Recent rainfall data from various weather stations across the city showed significant variations, with Safdarjung recording 68.1 mm, and Ridge topping the list with 129.5 mm on Tuesday alone.

Predictions indicate the wet spell might continue for another seven days. Despite this, Delhi's maximum temperature has decreased to 29.1 degrees Celsius, 5.8 degrees below the usual. Meanwhile, air quality remains in the 'satisfactory' category according to CPCB's AQI reading of 72.
