Krishna River's Rising Floods Threaten Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued a warning as floodwaters in the Krishna River swell, with projections indicating inflows could reach up to three lakh cusecs at Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada.
Managing Director Prakhar Jain announced on Wednesday that water levels are rapidly increasing, cautioning residents against engaging in activities such as traveling, swimming, or fishing in the river.
Jain also advised those residing in downstream riparian zones to remain vigilant and heed official updates as the situation develops.
