Tragic Collision: Freelance Mechanics Struck by Speeding Car

A tragic incident unfolded at the Bhikaji Cama Place crossing, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man and serious injuries to his elder brother. The police confirmed the unfortunate event on Wednesday.

The collision occurred on Sunday at around 9.15 pm as the brothers, Sachin, 28, and Sonu, 30, were en route from Dwarka to their home in Tigri. As they turned onto Africa Avenue Road, a speeding car struck them.

The vehicle, arriving from the AIIMS side on the Ring Road, was driven by 20-year-old Dev Bhati from Bulandshahr. The brothers, working as freelance air conditioner mechanics, were rushed to the Jai Prakash Narayan Trauma Centre, where Sachin was pronounced dead. Sonu remains hospitalized, while the driver has been detained.
