Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation Project Receives Green Light

The Centre has officially sanctioned a project worth Rs 125 crore for addressing landslide issues in Uttarakhand, with officials confirming an initial release of Rs 4.5 crore.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the move, describing it as a pivotal step towards establishing lasting solutions for areas prone to landslides.
The project prioritizes five particularly vulnerable sites, including Mansa Devi Hill Bypass Road, Galogi Hydroelectric Project Road, and others. This support follows proposals from the Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Centre and the State Disaster Management Authority.
