Tragic House Collapse in Dumka Claims Young Life Amid Heavy Rains
A young boy died and his sister was injured in a house collapse in Jharkhand's Dumka district due to heavy rain. The children were caught by a falling wall during breakfast. Locals managed to rescue them, but the boy succumbed to his injuries; the girl is receiving treatment.

A devastating house collapse in Jharkhand's Dumka district has resulted in the tragic death of a 10-year-old boy and injured his older sister. The incident transpired on Friday morning after persistent heavy rains battered the region, causing structural vulnerabilities in their home.
Authorities report that the calamity struck in Bamankheta village within the Hansdiha police station area. Officer-in-charge Prakash Singh confirms the children were within their home as breakfast was being prepared when suddenly, a wall, comprised of bricks and mud, gave way, burying them beneath the debris.
Residents of the village acted quickly to clear the rubble and managed to extract the children. Unfortunately, the boy, identified as Aman Kumar, succumbed to the debris, while his sister, 14-year-old Masum Kumari, survived with injuries and was immediately dispatched to Deoghar for urgent medical care.
