Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has revealed plans to create a new, centralized secretariat for Delhi. The existing structure, a remnant from the 1982 Asian Games, has been labeled dangerously outdated by a recent structural audit.
Launching the 'Delhi Ko Koode Se Azaadi' campaign, Gupta expressed concern about the deplorable state of the current office facilities, underscoring the urgency for a modern, safe working environment.
Plans are underway to identify a suitable site, potentially in Central Delhi, for the new facility, featuring modern amenities and well-organized spaces to enhance government operations and ensure effective public service delivery.
