In a recent virtual press conference, astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla recounted the challenges of readjusting to Earth's gravity after his return from the Axiom-4 mission. Simple tasks like holding a mobile phone or handling a laptop proved challenging, illustrating the profound effects of space travel on the human body.
Shukla, who on June 28 had a memorable conversation with the Prime Minister of Bharat with the Indian tricolour floating behind him, emphasized the mission's significance for India. He said, 'This wasn't just a return to space; it was a statement of India's intent to lead in space exploration.'
The mission has sparked interest among young Indians, with many aspiring to become astronauts. Shukla, who performed assignments for Prime Minister Narendra Modi aboard the space station, believes the experience will greatly benefit India's Gaganyaan mission efforts.
