On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, to unveil a series of development projects valued at Rs 2,183.45 crore. The visit underscored his commitment to advancing the region's infrastructure and social welfare initiatives.
In a move aimed at benefiting farmers, Modi released the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, disbursing Rs 20,500 crore to over 9.70 crore eligible farmers nationwide. Additionally, he distributed assistive devices to people with disabilities and senior citizens during an event at Banauli village.
This visit, coming just before Rakshabandhan and during the auspicious month of Shravan, signifies a pivotal boost for Purvanchal's development. The 52 initiatives address vital areas like road infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, and urban development, enhancing regional living standards and economic growth.
