On August 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bengaluru to inaugurate the Yellow Line Metro, as confirmed by BJP leader Tejasvi Surya. This significant event marks a milestone in the city's transport infrastructure development.
In addition to launching the Yellow Line operation, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for Metro Phase-3. Tejasvi Surya highlighted that these efforts are aimed at alleviating Bengaluru's notorious traffic congestion, particularly affecting the Silk Board area.
The Yellow Line Metro is expected to facilitate close to eight lakh commuters, while the project in totality is anticipated to benefit nearly 25 lakh residents of Bengaluru South. The swift progress, attributed to Modi's insistence, underlines the government's commitment to enhancing public transport.
