Delhi Urban Development Minister Ashish Sood inaugurated the 'Swachhata Portal' on Wednesday to streamline the ongoing 'Delhi ko Kude Se Azaadi' cleanliness campaign. The month-long initiative encourages citizens to engage in keeping the capital clean.
The portal provides a platform for institutions, government offices, and Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) to share before-and-after photographs of their cleanliness efforts. This allows for a transparent assessment by evaluation officials who also conduct on-site inspections.
A competition incentivizes RWAs with cash awards of Rs 25 lakh, Rs 15 lakh, and Rs 10 lakh for top performers. Additionally, the Education Department has earmarked 4,000 sites across Delhi for urgent cleaning efforts.
