Maharashtra to Emulate Indore's Innovative Waste Management Model
Indore's waste management innovations have caught the attention of Maharashtra's Environment Minister, Pankaja Munde, who plans to replicate the model in her state. Munde visited Indore to understand its cleanliness model and praised its integration of public and NGOs in achieving top cleanliness status.

Maharashtra's Environment Minister, Pankaja Munde, has praised Indore's waste management model and aims to replicate its clean city innovations across her state.
Munde, along with a government delegation, visited Indore on Wednesday to gain insights into the successful waste management strategies of India's cleanest city.
After touring various waste management facilities with Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and local officials, Munde expressed her intention to adapt some of Indore's innovative cleanliness and green energy initiatives within Maharashtra.
