A tragic incident at a dargah near Humayun's Tomb has led to the death of seven people, with another man succumbing to injuries recently. Police confirmed the casualties on Saturday, following the structure's collapse amid heavy rains.
The collapse happened at Dargah Sharif Patte Shah, which shares boundaries with the historic garden-tomb. Deputy Commissioner of Police Hemant Tiwari announced the victims included four men and three women, with five identified as Swaroop Chand, Moinuddin, Anita Saini, Meena Arora, and Monu Arora.
A case has been registered against unidentified individuals under multiple negligence-related sections. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation, alerting civic agencies for further examination.
