Himachal Pradesh is grappling with significant infrastructural challenges as torrential rains have left at least 355 roads, including three national highways, blocked across the state. The incessant rainfall has caused widespread disruptions, with Mandi, Kullu, and other districts severely affected.
In addition to road blockages, the extreme weather has wreaked havoc on the state's power supply network. A total of 1,067 transformers are currently non-operational, plunging several regions, including Kullu and Mandi, into power outages.
The Meteorological Department has issued a 'yellow' warning for heavy rainfall on multiple upcoming dates. As recovery efforts continue, the focus remains on re-establishing connectivity and restoring essential services to mitigate the impact of these natural calamities.
