The Urban Extension Road II (UER 2), inaugurated to alleviate Delhi's traffic woes, paves the way for smoother connectivity. Costing Rs 5,580 crore, this expressway will ease congestion on Inner and Outer Ring Roads, fostering economic growth in Delhi and adjacent areas, officials confirmed.

Stretching 75 kilometers from NH-44 in Alipur to NH-48 near Mahipalpur, UER 2 traverses key industrial and residential zones like Bawana, Rohini, and Dwarka. Notably, it slashes travel time between the Singhu border and IGI Airport from two hours to just 40 minutes. The expressway also links Haryana's Bahadurgarh to West Delhi's Najafgarh, connecting crucial expressways to reduce snarls.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized that enhanced connectivity will broaden industrial prospects. The newly constructed route will facilitate quicker goods movement, linking Haryana's Sonipat and Bahadurgarh, and has the potential to expedite travel to major cities like Chandigarh and Mumbai, marking it as a transformative initiative for Delhi and beyond.
