The northwest region of Pakistan is reeling from a series of devastating flash floods resulting from cloudbursts, leading to a rising death toll which now stands at 365 as of Tuesday. The tragic events, occurring over the past five days, represent the worst monsoon spell this year.

In Dalori Bala village, nestled near the Gadoon mountains, rescue teams pulled bodies from debris on Tuesday, pushing the death toll there to 20. Zeeshan Ali, a local college student, recounted the traumatic events as a violent torrent swept away homes, animals, and possessions.

Meanwhile, over 200 people perished in Buner due to an intense cloudburst. Farther south, Karachi experienced severe flooding after heavy rains submerged roads and knocked out power. The NDMA is bracing for additional storms expected until September 10.
