Safety First: Noida Airport Prepares for World-Class Launch
Gautam Buddh Nagar administration mandates a 20-km no-construction zone around Noida International Airport without an NOC. District Magistrate Medha Roopam emphasizes safety measures, including controlling birds and stray animals, banning drones and lasers, and enhancing disaster management. The first phase is set to open this year.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has imposed a restriction on construction activities within a 20-kilometer radius of the Noida International Airport without a no-objection certificate (NOC). The official order came amid efforts to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the upcoming airport.
In a recent meeting, District Magistrate Medha Roopam highlighted the necessity of maintaining cleanliness, preventing waterlogging, and controlling birds and stray animals near the airport area to avoid disturbances to aircraft operations. She also called for a ban on drones and lasers, alongside launching public awareness campaigns in rural regions.
Roopam stressed that the safety of the airport and disaster management is the administration's top priority. She urged all departments to coordinate effectively, ensuring the Noida International Airport meets world-class standards. The airport's first phase, spanning over 1,334 hectares, is on track to open for commercial services later this year.
