Tragedy struck in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district when a 20-year-old man, Monty Tanwar from Indore, lost his life after his car was swept into a torrent on National Highway 552. Heavy rains have created havoc across the district, submerging railways, disrupting transport, and prompting the suspension of tourist activities in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve.
The situation has led to severe disruptions, with schools closed and several residential colonies flooded. A dam tragedy unfolded at Surwal, where a boat sank, leaving several passengers missing.
