The Delhi Fire Service is set to debut 24 Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs) on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, aiming to improve emergency responses in traffic-prone and fire-vulnerable areas. This initiative, funded by the government, targets locations with high fire incidence and limited accessibility.

Officials have earmarked 24 crucial locations across the city, planning phased equipment upgrades and deployment. In the first phase, the service has secured these QRVs for a total of Rs 8.61 crore, featuring advanced firefighting systems within compact XL6 vehicles.

As Delhi struggles with heavy traffic, the new vehicles promise rapid intervention, streamlined navigation, and effective fire suppression, which could help mitigate property damage and reduce potential loss of life resulting from delayed responses.
