In a recent inspection, the Commission for Air Quality Management identified 34 violations related to road dust levels in the NCR region. The findings revealed significant pollution from visible road dust and construction waste accumulation.
The violations highlight lapses in routine cleanup and dust-mitigation efforts. The inspection covered Civil Lines, Karol Bagh, and West Delhi, all managed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
The CAQM urged the MCD to strengthen enforcement of dust-control measures, emphasizing the need for regular road sweeping, effective water sprinkling, and prompt waste removal to combat urban particulate pollution.
