A massive fire broke out at the Aadharwadi dumpyard in Kalyan city, Thane district, Maharashtra, on Sunday night. Flames and smoke reached impressive heights, visible from afar, but no injuries have been reported.
Responding to the emergency, local firefighters arrived swiftly. However, the intensity of the flames required reinforcements from every fire station within the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation's jurisdiction. The pervasive smoke further complicates the situation.
"The operation at Aadharwadi continues despite challenges," stated a fire brigade official, adding that complete control is anticipated if water supplies remain stable. Previously, a fire at the Umbarde site was successfully extinguished.
