During the meeting, a senior police official said strict action was being taken against traffic violations and over 62,000 challans had been issued this year. The DC sought suggestions from citizens regarding accident-prone areas and also issued instructions to ensure safe traffic outside schools. ''Information should be obtained from all schools regarding the condition of roads outside their campuses and whether essential facilities such as speed breakers are available.
