Transforming Odisha: PMGSY-IV Launched to Revolutionize Rural Connectivity

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the fourth phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the district of Rayagada, Odisha, aimed at transforming rural infrastructure.
The initiative, inaugurated in collaboration with Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, will see the development of 827 road projects, covering a total of 1,701 kilometers at the cost of Rs 1,698.04 crore. This move is anticipated to provide crucial road connectivity to 898 habitations, facilitating access to schools, hospitals, and markets, and ultimately propelling socio-economic advancement.
Further commitments include the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) scheme and investments in housing and agriculture, showcasing the central government's strong focus on rural upliftment in Odisha.
