Rainfall brought much-needed relief to Chandigarh and various regions of Punjab and Haryana as it lowered the minimum temperature on Sunday. Residents awoke to a cloud-covered sky followed by gusty winds and a brief intense downpour.
This sudden change in weather conditions, which also included a dust storm, resulted in power outages in some localities, but it offered a welcome break from the oppressive heat of previous days.
In locations like Mohali, Rupnagar, and Ludhiana, the rain caused temperatures to decrease, making it a refreshing change from Saturday, where highs reached between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius.
